Administration Manager - Wendylee Playford

Wendylee Playford

Wendylee Playford has been employed as the Administrative Manager of Biala Support Services Inc since June 2003. Wendylee is the first Administrative Manager appointed to the organisation since its inception.

Wendylee is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the organisation and is accountable to the voluntary Board of Management.
Wendylee brings to the organisation 20 years of Administrative office management from various positions across Australia.

Wendylee relocated to the North Coast with her family from the Central West of New South Wales in 2001 where she worked as the Administrative Manager of a Community Preschool part time and also as Administrative Support for a Supported Employment Program.

Wendylee has a true understanding of the challenges faced by families with children and adults with special needs as she is the youngest child of seven children with a sister who has an intellectual and physical disability.

It is Wendylee’s goal to promote and foster Biala Support Services philosophy that all children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families and carers deserve the best of service and support. She intends to assist the organisation in its growth of being a service of high repute.

Respite and Support Coordinator – Joanne Boland

Joanne BolandJoanne started working for Biala Support Services Inc, North Coast Fun Club in August of 2002, as a Support Worker. During this time Joanne commenced work in December 2003 as a Respite and Support Worker for Biala Support Services Inc.

With Joanne showing a commitment to Biala Support Services and having had previous administration experience, she was offered the position of Administration Assistant in 2004. Her time was divided between assisting the Principal of the school and the Manager of Biala Support Services Inc. The position was for 10 hours a week.

With the increasing demand on the Managers time, Mrs Wendylee Playford, Joanne’s hours increased gradually over the years, she now works 35 hours a week.

Joanne’s title changed from Administration Assistant to Respite and Support Coordinator in January of 2009. This title reflected the work that she was doing in organising respite and working relationship she has built with other agencies in the local area.

Joanne also volunteers her time for the organisation for fundraising and the Annual Holiday that is organised by Sue Parker. Joanne has attended the holiday every year since it commenced in 2003. She thoroughly enjoys this week away and watching the clients enjoy their holiday.

Joanne is currently studying Certificate IV in Frontline Management, which she hopes will increase her skills base and be an asset to Biala Support Services Inc.
