North Coast Fun Club (NCFC) is funded by the NSW Department of Aging, Disability and Homecare and auspiced by Biala Support Services Inc. (BSSInc). The service has a commitment to consulting with its consumers through a variety of mechanisms including a Consumer Consultation Committee.
To maintain a consumer consultation committee, comprised of Clients, Carers, BSSinc Board Member and Manager that meets regularly throughout the year, to review and evaluate the North Coast Fun Club and Biala Support Services Inc. services.
- Assist to develop, monitor and evaluate NCFC operations and impact
- Monitor and evaluate cover of the catchment and target population as defined in the funding agreement with DADHC
- Provide a forum for the identification and implementation of quality initiatives within the quality improvement framework
- Utilise networks to enhance a broader consultation with the target population
- Provide feedback to the service from the consumer base
- Provide contacts for consumers via the Client Handbook (currently being compiled)

A minimum of two (2) Consumers / Clients are to be present at each meeting. Otherwise the meeting is to be held over till the next meeting unless a special meeting is required.
Minutes of this meeting will be distributed consumer representatives, NCFC staff (including volunteers, BSSInc Board of Management and BSSInc Manager, identifying action and person/s responsible.
- Chair: The North Coast Fun Club Recreation Coordinator will chair the meeting
- Minutes: Taken by the Manager – Biala Support Services Inc. Minutes will be taken using an action format and will be disseminated no later than two weeks after the meeting.
