- Open to adults 18 years and over with an intellectual / physical disability.
- Meet every Thursday evening from 6.30pm at Ballina Bowl Ballina.
- Contact must be made with Coordinator prior to commencing due to large number attending.
- Limited transport is available from Wollongbar and also north side from Mullumbimby to Ballina for a small fee.
- Ballina Strikers is run by a small number of volunteers from Biala Support Services.
- Strikers have over 50 members on their books and a number of bowlers come fortnightly so a larger number may attend.
- We have all 12 lanes booked at the Bowling Alley every Thursday evening from 6-30pm until 8-30pm. Two of these lanes are used for our bowlers who need to use a ramp. e.g. Bowlers in wheelchairs and high support bowlers. (those needing support staff)
- Ballina Strikers have no funding attached to it and if we wish to purchase items we rely on our bowlers and their families/support staff to assist in selling raffle tickets or chocolates.
- Each December Ballina Strikers have a Christmas Party and Presentation evening. The evening is catered for by a local caterer. This is always well attended by our families and friends.
