Who We Are
Biala Support Services Incorporated is proud to provide both educational and support services that are client, student and carer focused. The culture of the organisation has always been at a grass roots level with a priority to place its clients, students and their families and their needs as the top priority in service provision. All board members and staff have a deep desire for making the lives of those with disabilities and their carers better by providing quality programs and support. What sets us apart is the passion and determination shown from each person associated with the organisation in making a difference for the people we support.

We are a National Disability Services Member

Biala Support Services Inc. is a member of National Disability Services, the peak body for Disability Services nationwide.

The benefits of membership with NDS are numerous with a key benefit being access to the most up-to-date information relating to the disability sector and NDIS. As a member we also have access to training and professional development for disability services staff.



What we do
Biala has a Board of Management which has a governance role as well as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who manages the operations of the organisation.  The CEO is supported by an executive administration assistant, and a team of managers for each of Biala’s key services.
Biala provides a range of support and education services for people with disability.  These include:

Biala Special School – from Kindergarten to Year 10 (Year 12 Equivalent).

Community Participation Day Program – A day program with various activities and life skill programs for adults with disability.

Biala Hydrotherapy Service – A 10m indoor heated pool used for exercise, physiotherapy or relaxation.

North Coast Fun Club – A social group for adults 18 years and older who have an intellectual disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Melaleuca House Respite Facility – A respite house that can be used by individuals or service providers as a place for respite to occur out of home or as a holiday home.

Biala Respite And Support Service – Flexible respite and support for children and adults to participate more fully in life at home and in the community.

Biala Strikers Disabled Bowling League – A bowling league for adults 18 years and older with disability.

Volunteering With Our Service – to support all of the current programs.
